Tadalafil is distributed on prescription, however, it is only prescribed to men who experience a medical condition known as erectile dysfunction (ED) in their life. ED is a certain medical condition where a man becomes unable to keep an erection firm enough for intercourse.

Generally, the prostate gland becomes enlarged in older men due to their age and certain risk factors that include cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This medical condition is also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This gland is positioned near the bladder and that is why it’s enlargement causes serious problems in the passing of urine.

Tadalafil medicines are sold under two brand names, Cialis and Adcirca. The brand Cialis of tadalafil tablets is used to treat the above mentioned medical conditions that include erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Another brand of tadalafil tablets, Adcirca, is used for the treatment of a different condition which is known as pulmonary arterial hypertension. 

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is considered to be a rare medical disorder that is characterized as high blood pressure causing tension in the arteries of the lungs. These arteries in the lungs are the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs. 

Some common symptoms of PAH include chest pain, dizziness, fainting, and shortness of breath especially during or after a workout. The exact cause of this hypertension is still not known, however, it is considered as a treatable medical condition.

The medications help individuals by relaxing their muscles and walls of the blood vessels. Calcium channel blockers in the medicines are proved to be effective, however, in some cases, only a small number of people do not improve while taking this medicine.
