In the thought of being more productive, we forget to take care of ourselves. Healthy living is a myth to us, it is something mythical and unknown. Which honestly is very sad.


A generation or two ago, people had a stronger immune system, good physical health, and people actually lived longer. In order to make lives easier, which we think is by working overtime and earning money, we rot our bodies willingly. The thing is, taking care of one’s self is not a tedious task or a time consuming one. One can carry on with their task and still take care of themselves. All you need to do is make a few healthy changes to your daily routine.

Get That Sleep!

You might think this is stupid. Although it is not. Sleep is the most important thing when it comes to healthy living. Sure, we all sleep every day, we take naps too sometimes. But the main concern is, are we doing it right? There are conditions to getting a night of good sleep as well.

Every doctor recommends 7-9 hours of sleep for each adult. However, these hours may vary depending on human to human. For example, a child may need more sleep than an adult does. Or an elderly may need more sleep than a teenager.

Furthermore, sleeping for 7-9 hours in a row is very important. Having a disturbed sleep can affect your immune system as well as your appearance by giving you dark circles and pimples. Hence, the term “beauty sleep”. Not sleeping well at night will also result in mood swings, irritation, dizziness, and anger.

Moreover, switch off your electronics before you go to bed. The light beaming out of our screen has a huge impact on our sleep. Mobile phones are considered the number one enemy of sleep. As they might cause disturbed sleep. Even the light beaming in from the street lights can cause a night of disturbed sleep. Also, human bodies sleep/rest better in a cold and dark room. Colder temperatures are especially good for women going through menopause or for women on their periods, as their body temperatures are high during these times.

If you have trouble sleeping at night, consider taking melatonin or kratom seeds, powder, etc. Both are widely available online.

 

Get Up And Work Out!

Exercise is very important for every human being. Not only does working out strengthen us physically, but it also helps strengthen our mental health. Working out regularly can help us more than you think. It is one of the best natural remedies for anxiety and stress. When you work out, our brain releases a chemical called endorphins. Endorphins are the chemicals responsible for the sudden boost of energy and happiness we feel right away.

Moreover, we might not see an instant change in our lives after we start working out, however, once you incorporate it into your daily routine, you'll start noticing great, positive changes. Furthermore, exercising can also regulate your sleeping cycle and surprisingly your bowel movements. And surprisingly, having regular bowel movements can make your mood better, preventing anxiety and stress.

If you cannot work out every day, 4 days a week for only 20-30 minutes a day should do it. However, keep this in mind, exercise should be carried out first thing in the morning. Working out later in the day, once you are done with all the other tasks, may not be such a  good idea. As that may result in exhaustion, which further leads to, mood swings, anger, irritation, and dizziness.

Furthermore, if you do not like working out in a typical manner by carrying out specific exercises, you can always indulge in sports, you can do zumba, brisk walk, go out on a jog, etc.

 

You Are What You Eat!

You guys must have heard “you are what you eat” at least once from an elder’s mouth. Now don't take it literally. what this phrase means is, if you eat junk all the time it will show only your face in the form of pimples and excessive oil. If you eat burgers all day long, you will gain weight and will end up looking round like a burger. However, on the other hand, if you eat fresh fruits and vegetables you will have good rosy skin and a sleek body. Therefore, a healthy diet is very important.

 

Don't Forget To Hydrate!

Hydration is very important in order to function properly throughout the day. Therefore, sip water every now and then. Especially if you are carrying out physical activity. Doctors recommend that every human at least takes 2.5 liters of water every day. However, this may vary from person to person as well. Also, keep in mind, plain water is the best. Although, You can have fresh juices in between
